Carol and her expedition encounter people from Brent Underwood's group.

"Make sure that fire's completely out," said Carol as she finished packing up the transmitter. Back on Earth, she practiced no-trace camping, but here that was less practical since leaving signs of where they had been was a good thing. She planned to use this site to build a permanent radio relay station later on, using the portable transmitter from the crashed escape pod on the beach.

"Come on, let's get going!"
