Chief Engineer Steven Holbrook sat at the escape pod console, watching the sensor data from the anomaly for the umpteenth time. He finally had an opportunity to try and decipher the spatial phenomenon that had caused the catastrophe aboard The Meridian Star on that fateful night. The problem nagged at him. Something about the energy readings looked very familiar, but he just couldn't put his finger on it.
