Season 1 Episode 27: Reunited

Carol's expedition to the newly discovered escape pod finds tragedy.

“How much further?”

“Why, a little too steep for you, Brad?”

Carol had wanted to hike straight through a pass quickly and get to the side of the coastal mountain range facing the sea and the escape pod beacon they were chasing. On the other hand, Brad had talked everyone into taking a shortcut by climbing up over the top instead. They’d followed several narrow valleys up the slope and were finally angling eastward toward the signal again, albeit very slowly. The game trail they now followed zig-zagged back and forth across the face of the steep slope. A herd of miniature mountain goat-like creatures that had fled the trail to let them through now stared at them from a distance. Carol watched them occasionally and wondered about domesticating some of them for goat’s milk.

“It didn’t look this steep before,” said Brad, stopping to pant. “Maybe we could just...”
