Season 1 Episode 18: West

Jason, Shelly, Cliff, Paul, and Mary make a useful discovery along the West road.

“Well, we’re halfway through the food that we brought, so we should probably head on back to base camp,” said Cliff Haywood, whom I’d put in charge of inventory. "The others need to see what we've found so far."

The road West had reentered the sand dunes on the second day and then passed through a semi-fruitful mixed grass and scrubland where we’d walked for four more days. The going had gotten easier as we ate the food we'd brought and no longer had to carry it.

"With the various springs and such that we keep passing, we can refill our water indefinitely," I said. "We could continue exploring if we had a way to live off the land."

"You just want to kill something," said Shelly, poking a stick into the coals of the campfire.
