Season 1 Episode 17: East

Candace, Dave, Stacy, and Brad, a young group of Meridian Star survivors from Underwood's, group explore the East road.

“Well, this is boring,” said Candace Hadfield. “Did they say we have to explore this road for several days? Why?”

She’d joined a group that had doubled back along the path to the escape pod to explore an old, cracked-up road with waist-deep plant life growing out of it. She’d expected to find some fun adventures, but after backpacking for a day to get back to the road, then walking for half a day East on it, all she'd discovered was the pain of blisters.

“Think of it this way,” said Dave Lambert. “This was supposed to be an uninhabited planet, so this road shouldn’t even be here. Roads don’t usually lead to nowhere—they should go from someplace interesting to someplace else interesting; otherwise, why would someone build a road at all? Who knows, maybe it leads to a spaceport where we can catch a ride home.”
