Season 1 Episode 15: 7,000 Lost

The people of Earth receive word that The Meridian Star never arrived at Alsephina and a search of the thousands of stars along its flight path begins.

Jim Lancaster sat at his desk, his head in his hands, staring at the news headline. The Meridian Star, the largest luxury cruise ship ever built for space, had never arrived at the spaceport orbiting Delta Velorum B. He’d assigned his secretary the herculean task of organizing the many inquiries he'd received from families and businesses inquiring about rescue efforts. Answering those questions would have to wait until he had answers. The chairwoman of the newly formed Rescue Committee had scheduled a meeting for later that afternoon, and he needed to bring a plan to the table to report to the government and then prepare a press release. He made a mental note to have his secretary compile a list of talking points for the press conference.
