Episode 23: The Eridani Seed Ship

The Mayfield sneaks out of Eridani Space with a secret clue.

“Carol, have you made any progress with it?”

Carol twitched with surprise. Sam Grant had approached her so quietly that she hadn’t noticed when he’d joined her aboard the Seed Ship.

“Some,” said Carol. “I was able to adapt my Goultaran translator to read the instruments. It’s old Eridani, and even though the design is different from Goultaran seed ships, the Goultarans’ ancestors understood the language and protocols really well. The layers of security on the navigation data are peeling away pretty easily.”

“It’s the old navigation data that we need anyway,” said Sam. “Do you think you’ll have some destinations for us by the time we’ve dropped off the casualties at Wormhole Station?”
