I got up this morning and found a top Favorite crown on Anomaly Tug of War oin Kindle Vella. This has happened a couple of times, but this time, it is a bit anti-climactic, of course, since Vella is winding down. Still, it feels good.
I’ve been blowing out episodes to complete Tug of War before the December 4th final episode posting deadline at Kindle Vella, and a couple of readers are still hanging in there and following episodes as I release them.
Tug of War will be complete by tomorrow, and folks will be able to read it and buy all of its episodes for their Kindle Libraries for as long as their tokens hold out or until the end of Kindle Vella. I have no plans to publish Anomaly anywhere other than here on Substack for the foreseeable future. I have other books on Amazon Kindle, but your only chance to see Anomaly in your Kindle Library anytime in the next five years (or probably more) will be to spend your tokens on it in Kindle Vella before Feb. 2025. For those of you who prefer binge-reading over getting a little at a time each week, you should get your tokens before the 4th of December and then buy up all of the episodes of Anomaly and Anomaly: Tug of War before Febuary because after that they’ll be unavailable except as they are released an episode a week here.
Why am I still posting episodes to Kindle Vella as it dies? Because I owe it to those, who have followed and read the story for the past two years. I want to hang on until the last. Also, Amazon does not disclose readers' contact information, so I have no way to reach those who have followed Anomaly in the past to tell them to come here to enjoy Season 3 except through the author notes in the story episodes in Kindle Vella. I will be in a sprint between now and January to bring all the Anomaly fans over here.
The first five episodes of each season will be available free to the public on Substack as they are released. Subsequent episodes will be available by paid subscription only.
